Matteo Moretto has reported that Guglielmo Vicario is ‘about to sign for Tottenham’ and could even travel to London to complete the transfer in the ‘next few hours’.
The Vicario to Spurs links have moved rapidly this week, ever since it was reported that Tottenham had moved on to David Raya alternatives – with Brentford refusing to lower their £40m price tag.
90 Min reported that Tottenham faced competition from the likes of Inter Milan, AS Roma, Juventus and Fiorentina for the 26-year-old, but they appear to have won that race.
The Daily Mail added that Ange Postecoglou has approved the signing of the Italian shot-stopper to come in and replace Hugo Lloris between the sticks.
Fabrizio Romano added that Spurs and Vicario had already agreed personal terms on a five-year contract and the Lilywhites were expected to bid around £16.3m for the goalkeeper
If Matteo Moretto is to be believed, the Empoli star could fly to London in the coming hours to complete the final stages of a move.

Spurs Web Opinion:
I would have preferred, and still do prefer, David Raya, but Vicario seems like an interesting proposition. I wonder whether Spurs will push ahead with the move or sit and wait on the Raya deal a little longer first.
