The Daily Star have claimed that Arsenal are confident of securing a deal for Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma, who is also attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Despite the fact that Oliver Skipp is set to return from his successful loan spell at Norwich this summer, Spurs are rumoured to be in the market for another central midfielder, with the likes of Sander Berge and Ismaila Soro being linked with a move to the club.
The Daily Star now report that Bissouma, who has gone from strength to strength since arriving on the South Coast three years ago, is also on Tottenham’s radar.
The report suggests that Spurs, West Ham and Everton have all made enquiries for the Brighton star.
However, it is Arsenal who are said to be in pole position to complete the 24-year-old’s signing, with Mikel Arteta reportedly being a big fan of the midfielder.
The report asserts that the Gunners expect to wrap up a £30m deal for the Mali international when the transfer market opens this summer.

Bissouma for around £30m sounds like an absolute steal but I am not sure if the club will look at centre midfield as a priority position to strengthen this summer. With Mourinho having left, I can see Winks staying at the club along with Hojberg, Skipp, Ndombele and Lo Celso. If we do sell Sissoko and look for another potential back up, I can see us going for a cut-price deal for Berge.
