According to a report from The Sunday Mirror (29/08/21 page 66 – as relayed by The Express), Tottenham Hotspur are set to make a late move for Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma before the transfer window closes.

Tottenham announced the capture of Pape Sarr from Metz on Friday and also confirmed they had struck a deal with Watford for the transfer of Moussa Sissoko.

However, if The Sunday Mirror is to be believed, the North London club are not done when it comes to bolstering their midfield department.

The report claims Nuno Espirito Santo wants Bissouma added to his squad, with the Spurs boss alleged to be a big fan of the Brighton man.

It is asserted the Lilywhites are hopeful they can complete a deal for the 24-year-old before Tuesday’s transfer deadline. The Mali international is thought to be valued at around £40m by the Seagulls.

The report adds that Bissouma could be on the move from the Amex Stadium if Spurs submit a suitable offer for the midfielder.

Spurs Web Opinion

Perhaps Tottenham’s interest in Bissouma is a sign that their pursuit of Barcelona starlet Ilaix Moriba is proving difficult. I think Bissouma would be an excellent addition for us as he would instantly improve our starting eleven.
