Tottenham Hotspur have posted a video of Rodrigo Bentancur working away on the exercise bike at Hotspur Way today, as the midfielder continues his rehabilitation.
Bentancur had been one of Spurs‘ best players up until he ruptured his ACL in a seemingly innocuous moment against Leicester City back in February.
It was initially reported that the Uruguayan would be sidelined for the rest of the campaign and into the next one, with November slated as a potential return time (The Athletic).
Bentancur posted a video of himself running on the pitches around Hotspur Way in May via his Instagram story (via Football.London).
He also told Telemundo (via ESPN) that he was working hard with double sessions to get back as soon as possible.

With many of the squad returning for the first day of pre-season this afternoon, Tottenham took the chance to post a recovery update on Bentancur, and the midfielder seems to be progressing well.

Spurs Web Opinion:
Getting Bentancur back is just as important as making a new midfield signing this summer.
However, Spurs must prepare for the chance that he won’t be the same player, at least straight away.
ACL injuries are notorious for having long-term impacts. A new creative midfielder is needed to cover all bases.
