According to the Mirror ourselves along with Liverpool are set for a summer battle over Norwich starlet James Maddison.

The article describes how the attacking midfielder has shone for the Canaries this season, scoring six league goals and assisting five more.

However the Mirror understands the 21-year-old is set to stay at Carrow Road beyond this month, with Norwich poised to cash in on fellow midfielder Alex Pritchard, formerly of Spurs, instead in an £11million deal with top-flight Huddersfield.

However the article says Spurs and Liverpool are both huge admirers of former Coventry trainee Maddison with Southampton keeping tabs and all are expected to firm up their interest in the summer.

It goes on to say that Maddison joined Norwich two years ago from Coventry and this has been his breakthrough season after a loan at Scottish side Aberdeen last term.
It adds that Wolves have also been linked with Maddison after passing up the chance to sign him two years ago but are not thought to be frontrunners.
