Alejo Veliz already has a possible celebration in mind for his first Tottenham Hotspur goal, despite only making a couple of cameo appearances for the club so far.

Veliz joined Spurs in the summer as an exciting young prospect who shone at the U20 World Cup for Argentina, and he has settled into N17 life even faster than expected.

Ange Postecoglou originally stated that Veliz was unlikely to get much game time on the pitch in the first half of the season, but the 20-year-old has since been used against Liverpool and Luton Town (Football.London).

Alasdair Gold reported recently that Veliz has ‘absolutely wowed’ the Tottenham coaching staff in training (the Gold and Guest podcast), and is even a vocal member of the dressing room already (FootballLondon).

Alejo Veliz could make Tottenham his dance floor

Veliz has now revealed that Tottenham fans could see him perform the malambo when he scores his first goal for the club, which is a folk dance in Argentina.

He said (Football London): “Yes, the truth is that with the Under-20 team I did a celebration that has to do with my childhood and I practised it for a long time and it was a passion I had, apart from football. Hopefully, I will score a goal here soon to celebrate it that way.”

Spurs Web Opinion:
