The Standard have now explained that after running through the tactical instructions, Postecoglou’s pre-match talks can range on a wide variety of topics, including ‘lessons in morality’.
The Australian allegedly speaks regularly about things like the need for hard work and the importance of family.
The report states that the Tottenham head coach is a powerful speaker in full flow, with many players finding it difficult to take their eyes off him.
According to The Standard, Postecoglou reserves his lighter side for the media and does not engage in banter with his players.

Postecoglou’s way with words is evidently one of his biggest skill sets and I doubt that any of the Spurs players would have heard as rousing pre-match or half-time team talks throughout their careers as they do from the Australian.
Reading about how the 58-year-old conducts himself behind the scenes, it is also quite evident that he goes out of his way to project an intense personality to the squad rather than a jovial one in order to ensure that his messages have maximal impact.
