Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas has revealed that Son Heung-min is expected to feature against Luton Town on Saturday despite his injury issue.

Over the last 24 hours, Tottenham have been hit with a couple of considerable injury blows.

It has emerged that Brennan Johnson, who missed the clash against Liverpool last week, is not expected to play a part against Luton and has also not been included in the Wales squad for the upcoming international fixtures (The Athletic).

Spurs will also be without another attacking player for the foreseeable future as Manor Solomon picked up an injury in training, which is expected to keep him out of action for two to three months (Raz Amir).

That means that Tottenham’s injury list suddenly seems quite substantial, with Rodrigo Bentancr, Giovani Lo Celso, Ryan Sessegnon and Ivan Perisic already on the treatment table.

Heung-min Son needs to be monitored at Tottenham

There were also some injury concerns about Son ahead of the clash against Liverpool and Ange Postecoglou admitted after the game that the South Korean’s injury was the main reason why he came off in the 69th minute ( Football.London).

Thomas has now taken to social media to explain that while Son’s ongoing issues are being monitored by the club, the Spurs captain is expected to feature at Kenilworth Road on Saturday.

With Solomon, Perisic and Johnson already out of action, Postecoglou is suddenly down to the bare bones in attack and could not afford to lose Son. So, the Australian might not want to risk playing the 31-year-old if he is not fully fit.
