Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Scott Munn will officially begin work as Tottenham’s new chief football officer later this month.

Spurs confirmed Munn’s appointment back in April and he was initially set to begin work at the start of July, with the club announcing at the time that he will work as Daniel Levy’s number two in the newly created role and take charge of all the footballing operations at N17.

Scott Munn can finally start at Tottenham Hotspur

However, owing to delays with his former employer’s, City Group, he is yet to officially commence work at Tottenham (Matt Law).

Gold has now explained that the issue has been resolved and that Munn is finally set to officially begin work at Hotspur Way after the international break.

The journalist reveals that the Australian has been in attendance at most of Tottenham’s matches right from the start of pre-season while awaiting his official start date.

He adds that one of the first orders of business for Munn will be to appoint a director of football to assist Ange Postecoglou in recruitment.

Now that Munn is set to begin work, one would expect Tottenham to officially confirm a sporting director (or some sort of head of recruitment) sooner rather than later, which would give the incoming person sufficient time to plan for the January transfer window.
