The Athletic’s Charlie Eccleshare has revealed that Scott Munn will officially begin his role as Tottenham’s chief football officer today.
Spurs confirmed Munn’s appointment back in April and he was initially set to begin work at the start of July, with the club announcing at the time that he would be Daniel Levy’s number two in the newly created role and take charge of all the footballing operations in N17.
However, owing to delays with his former employer, City Group, his official start date at Tottenham had to be pushed back (Matt Law).
Football.London’s Alasdair Gold revealed a couple of weeks ago that the issue with City Group had been resolved and the Australian was expected to soon begin work at the club.
Scott Munn is finally starting work at Tottenham
Eccleshare has now confirmed that Munn has officially started in his role today, with the newcomer expected to take charge of all footballing departments, including the academy and the women’s team.
The journalist added that one of the 51-year-old’s first big tasks would be to appoint a new director of football to replace Fabio Paratici.

I do not think Munn’s official start date is likely to have any impact on fast-forwarding Tottenham’s search for a new director of football. The club would have already been working in the background on filling the role since the closure of the summer transfer window.
