It appears as if Tottenham have lost out to Manchester City in their rumoured pursuit of Jeremy Doku, with Fabrizio Romano revealing that the Premier League champions have struck a deal for the Rennes star.
Although Ange Postecoglou has some decent wide options at his disposal in the form of Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski, Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon, it has been reported that the Australian wants one more wide-attacker, particularly due to the injury to Bryan Gil (Football.London).
The Independent claimed over the weekend that Spurs had joined Manchester City and West Ham United in the race for Doku.
It was revealed that the pacy wide-man, who has already been capped by Belgium on 16 occasions, was valued at £50m and that Rennes had already turned down West Ham’s bid for the player.
Jeremy Doku is Manchester City bound
Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that Doku is headed to the Etihad Stadium after the Ligue 1 club accepted City’s verbal offer of €60m (£51.1m) for the player.
The journalist added that the winger has already agreed terms on a long-term contract and will have his medical in Manchester later this week.

Spurs Web Opinion
Based on the players who Spurs have been credited with an interest in over the last few days, it appears as if Postecoglou might want another wide-forward to replace Harry Kane rather than an out-and-out centre-forward.
That suggests that the Australian wants his frontline to be fluid rather than having a number nine who always occupies the centre-backs and holds the ball up.
