Arsenal duo, Declan Rice and Aaron Ramsdale both showered praise on James Maddison after the Tottenham man’s latest social media post.

Maddison has been one of the standout players across the Premier League this season, having taken his game to a new level since his switch to Tottenham in the summer.

The attacking midfielder was a regular in previous England squads but he is now starting to feature more often in the starting eleven, winning his fifth cap for the Three Lions in their 1-0 win over Australia at Wembley last week.

The Spurs star dropped back to the bench against Italy on Tuesday, with Gareth Southgate opting to start with Jude Bellingham as the most advanced midfielder as England sealed qualification for next summer’s European championship with a 3-1 win.

North London rivalries go out the window

Maddison took to Instagram to post a series of pictures with his international teammates with the caption ‘October camp’, with Rice responding with ‘My brother mann!’ while Ramsdale wrote ‘Ledge’.

Bellingham commented: ‘What a human’ on the Spurs star’s post.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is clear that the current England squad is extremely tight and they genuinely enjoy each other’s company, which was evidently not the case for the golden generation.

Southgate deserves some credit for fostering the right atmosphere around the group as that is something he clearly takes into account while selecting the squad.
