Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Japhet Tanganga is keen on making a switch to Inter Milan after the Serie A giants expressed their interest in the Tottenham defender.

Last week, Ange Posteoclgou admitted to Football.London that Tottenham cannot be adding players to their already bloated squad without trimming it first, and that is what the club are now focusing on.

It was reported by The Evening Standard on Tuesday that Spurs are now prioritising offloading their unwanted players, including Tanganga, before bringing others through the door.

Inter Milan step up pursuit of Japhet Tanganga

It appears as if Tanganga might soon be edging closer to an exit, with Di Marzio claiming that Inter have identified the Tottenham star as an option to bolster their backline.

The journalist explained that various Premier League sides have also expressed an interest in the Spurs academy graduate but the player wants to wait for the Nerazzurri to make a move.

However, Di Marzio makes it clear that Tanganga is not the only option on Inter’s radar, with the Italian club also thought to be eyeing Atalanta’s Giorgio Scalvini.

Tanganga is not only represented by an Italian agent in Roberto De Fanti but defenders of his profile have also tended to do well in Serie A over recent years, which is why I am not surprised that the Tottenham man is leaning towards a switch to Italy.
