Tottenham fans will be encouraged by Rodrigo Bentancur’s latest social media post, which shows the midfielder sprinting on the beach.
Bentancur has not kicked a ball since suffering rupturing his ACL against Leicester City back in February and the midfielder was certainly a huge miss for Tottenham last season, with the Lilywhites having a poor end to the campaign.
Although the midfield three of Yves Bissouma, Pape Matar Sarr and James Maddison has clicked at the start of this season, fans are still eagerly waiting for the return of the former Juventus man, who could potentially take the team up another notch.
Bentancur gets closer and closer to Spurs return
Ange Postecoglou revealed two years ago that while Bentancur is itching to get back as soon as possible, he is not expected to be fully fit until November (Football.London).
However, based on the 26-year-old’s latest Instagram story, he certainly appears to be making a lot of progress.
Bentancur posted the following video of him doing a beach sprint:

Spurs Web Opinion
Bentancur certainly appears to be working hard in an effort to get back as soon as possible. However, there is no reason for Tottenham to rush him, particularly given how well Sarr has started the season. I expect Postecoglou to be cautious with the Uruguayan and integrate him into training slowly.
