Football.London have revealed on this week’s loan watch segment that while Cameron Cater-Vickers earned praise for his performance, Troy Parrott was criticised by his manager for a lack of discipline following his sending off.
Parrott was given his marching orders in MK Dons’ penalty shoot-out victory against Leyton Orient in the EFL Trophy second round for leaning in with his head after some provocation.
Although the Dons went on the progress, manager Liam Manning was not happy with the petulance shown by the on-loan Tottenham striker.
He said regarding Parrott after the game: “It was a lack of discipline. Their lad has raised his hands but you have to say ‘So what?’ and not to retaliate the way he did. It was just a lack of discipline for me.”
Meanwhile, Cameron Carter-Vickers continues to shine in his loan spell at Celtic and produced another solid display to help the Scottish giants keep a clean sheet as they overcame Dundee United 3-0 away from home.
The USA international has made 19 appearances for Ange Postecoglou’s side and earned rave reviews for his performance once again.
Football.scotland wrote about Carter-Vickers’ performance: “A centre-back with real ability on the ball. He read the match well, without really breaking a sweat. The Tottenham loanee has been a good signing for Celtic.”
Football.London also revealed that Pape Mater Sarr came back into Metz’s starting lineup in their 3-1 defeat at home to Montpellier in midweek after being benched in their 4-0 defeat to Monaco.
The report also stated that Kion Etete is splitting his time between Northampton and Hotspur Way as he continues his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury.
The striker will be hoping for a swift return to action as he has found his goalscoring boots over the last month and a half after a slow start to the season.
The 20-year-old has notched up six goals and two assists across all competitions for the League Two side so far.

Spurs Web Opinion
Carter-Vickers is certainly playing well enough for Celtic to consider taking up the reported £10m option to snap up the centre-back permanently at the end of the season.
However, it remains to be seen if the Scottish club will have that kind of money to throw around. If he maintains his form, the 23-year-old will likely get several offers for Championship clubs next summer.
