Football.London revealed in this week’s loan watch segment that two of Tottenham’s loanees, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Troy Parrott shone at their respective clubs.
After putting in a solid display in Celtic’s League Cup final win over Hibernian two weeks ago, Carter-Vickers was back in league action on boxing day.
The centre-back completed all 90 minutes as Ange Postecoglou’s side overcame St Johnstone 3-1 away from home.
Meanwhile, Troy Parrott came off the bench for a 30-minute cameo in MK Dons’ 3-2 win over Lincoln City on Sunday.
The win takes the club up to the seventh position on the League One table and the Tottenham striker earned praise for his display.
Milton Keynes Citizen gave Parrott a 7/10 for his performance and wrote about his showing: “Excellent when he came on for the last half an hour. Always made space, looked eager to take players on and did so with a lot of success.”
Meanwhile, Pape Matar Sarr missed Metz’s final game before the winter break away at Lyon after picking up a suspension.
However, Football.London reveal that the midfielder has been included in Senegal’s 27-man squad for the African Cup of Nations, which begins on January 9.
Kion Etete is said to be splitting his time between Northampton Town and Hotspur Way as the striker continues to get treatment on a hamstring injury.
Finally, Jamie Bowden missed Oldham’s defeat to Scunthorpe on Boxing Day after testing positive for Covid-19.

It is a little concerning that Parrott is not able to get regular starts under his belt even at League One level. The 19-year-old has not lived up to the expectation that was placed on his shoulder a couple of years ago but he still has time on his side to develop into a top player. Perhaps the Irishman is a late developer like Harry Kane was.
