90 min have claimed that Tottenham have concerns over Oliver Skipp after the midfielder’s most recent injury.

Skipp missed almost the entirety of the second half of last season due to an pelvic injury but the midfielder recovered in time for pre-season and would have been hoping to hit the ground running this campaign.

Unfortunately, the 21-year-old suffered a nasty cut towards the end of pre-season when a teammate landed on his foot following an aerial duel (Football London).

The injury has kept Skipp out of action for Spurs’ first four Premier League games of the season but Antonio Conte has confirmed that the midfielder is now back in training ahead of Tottenham’s trip to West Ham on Wednesday (Football.London).

90 min have now asserted that Spurs have some concerns over the England Under-21 international since he has regularly picked up injuries over the last couple of years.

The report adds that the concerns surrounding Skipp are part of the reason that Antonio Conte’s men have taken Pape Matar Sarr off the market.

Gianluca Di Marzio previously claimed on Monday that Spurs decided to do a U-turn on Sarr due to Rodrigo Bentancur picking up a concussion against Nottingham Forest.

I do not think it is fair to label Skipp as injury prone as the injury he suffered during pre-season was due to a freak accident.

Having said that, the Spurs medical staff would have wanted to pay close attention to how Skipp was responding over a sustained period to the operation he had on his pelvis.

The fact that he picked up another injury has meant that they have not been able to do that, which is why the club might have decided to hold on to Sarr as a precaution.
