Mucho Deporte have revealed that Sevilla are eyeing a double deal for Tottenham duo Pape Matar Sarr and Bryan Gil in January.
Neither Sarr nor Gil have started a single game for Spurs so far this season, and The Evening Standard reported last month that the North London club are looking to loan out both players in January, with Antonio Conte allegedly wanting readymade replacements for the pair.
Sevilla’s interest in Gil came to light last week when Mucho Deporte reported that the Andalusian outfit have explored a move for the Spain international, even though he is not viewed by the club as a priority signing.
The same publication have now offered an update on the matter, stating that Sevilla are ‘working on the operation’ to sign the 21-year-old from Tottenham. It is alleged that Jorge Sampaoli’s men view the Spurs winger as a replacement for Isco, who is expected to depart the club.
The report reveals that Sarr is also on Sevilla’s radar, with the Senegal international thought to fit the profile of midfielder the club are after. The publication adds that the 20-year-old is valued by Tottenham at around €15m (£13m).
Spurs Web Opinion
It is not clear from this report whether Sevilla are exploring loan deals for Sarr and Gil or if they want to sign them permanently. The former is probably more likely as Spurs are unlikely to cash in on either player in January and I doubt if the La Liga club could afford the pair.
