TuttoMercatoWeb have revealed that sources at Juventus have strongly denied reports that they are exploring a move for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in January.
Over the last few weeks, a whole host of Italian publications have stated that Massimiliano Allegri is keen on bolstering his midfield department in January and likes the profile of Hojbjerg (CalcioMercato).
A couple of days ago, Gazzetta dello Sport even claimed the Old Lady are convinced from ‘all points of view’ that the Tottenham man would be the right fit for them but they alleged that Spurs’ €30m (£26m) valuation could be an obstacle to any deal.
Juventus deny interest in Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
TMW have now stated that sources within Juventus ‘strongly deny’ suggestions that they are about to make a move or the Dane.
However, the publication alleges that ‘an attempt will be made’ for the 28-year-old if Paul Pogba is hit with a lengthy ban after he failed an anti-doping test.
It is explained that the Bianconeri also have their eyes on other midfielders, including Feyenoord’s Orkun Kokcu and Benfica’s Joao Neves ahead of the January window.
Spurs Web Opinion
Juve might be denying these reports since they are waiting for confirmation on the Pogba situation. If the Frenchman is hit with the ban, it looks like the Serie A are likely to battle Atletico Madrid for Hojbjerg’s signature.
