Tottenham Hotspur have now made their best start to the season for 63 years, with the Lilywhites sitting on 20 points from their first eight games.
Spurs are yet to taste defeat in the Premier League this season, having won six and drawn two of their eight matches so far.
What will be pleasing for Tottenham fans is that the team has showcased plenty of character over the last few weeks to eke out results even when things went against them.
Ange Postecoglou’s men scored late goals against Liverpool and Sheffield United to pick up all three points, come back twice from losing positions to draw against Arsenal at the Emirates, and on Saturday, ground out a 1-0 win against Luton despite playing with ten men for an entire half.

Spurs make their best-ever Premier League start
According to Statman Dave, this is not just the best start that Spurs have had in the Premier League era, but also the most points they have accumulated in their first eight games since their famous double-winning 1960-61 season under the legendry Bill Nicholson.
Tottenham Hotspur have won 20 points in their opening 8 League games so far this season. This is their best ever start to a Premier League season and their best start to a League campaign since 1960. They won the league that season.

Spurs Web Opinion
Something special certainly appears to be brewing at Spurs and it is evident from the players’ body language that they believe that they can win every single game from any position.
However, I do not think Spurs fans should get carried away yet as we will inevitably hit a rough patch of form this season. It will be interesting to see how the players and the coaching staff react when that slump arrives.
