Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to continue their brilliant early season form as they take on Crystal Palace in the first Premier League game of the weekend.

After a straightforward 2-0 win over Fulham on Monday night, Spurs returned to the top of the Premier League table, and now sit two points clear of both Arsenal and Manchester City.

Ange Postecoglou has a chance to maintain his unbeaten start to life in North London this weekend, and could even see his side go five points clear at the top.

Standing in their way will be Crystal Palace. The Eagles have been pretty inconsistent this season, and sit just outside the top ten with 12 points from nine games.

Palace vs Tottenham team news

The main concerns for Tottenham fans coming out of the win over Fulham were the potential injuries to Destiny Udogie and Pape Sarr. However, Postecoglou has suggested both players came away unscathed.

The big question will be whether Yves Bissouma, who is available for selection after his suspension, will be given the nod in the middle of the park. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg partnered Sarr on Monday night, and with Bissouma just one booking away from another ban, the Malian may be saved for the next game, against Chelsea.

Palace expect to have both Jeffrey Schlupp and Matheus Franca back in action after injury. However, star players Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise are both still roughly a week away from being ready.

Roy Hodgson will also be without Dean Henderson, James Tompkins and Nathan Ferguson.

The Spurs Web prediction

Palace look a little toothless without the creativity of both Eze and Olise, and I just can’t see them having enough to punish Spurs. Being the away side at Selhurst Park isn’t easy, though, and Tottenham will have to battle for a win. I’ll go for a 2-1 Spurs win.
