As per a report last week, Harry Kane has bid farewell to his former teammates and staff at Tottenham Hotspur, after being denied that opportunity during the summer.

Harry Kane ended his time at Tottenham this summer when he secured a big-money move to German champions Bayern Munich.

Despite becoming the club’s all-time leading goalscorer and earning the undying affection of the Spurs fans, Kane opted to leave his boyhood club in search of silverware.

Upon the eve of his transfer, Kane was refused permission to train with the rest of Ange Postecoglou‘s squad for one last time and thus was unable to say goodbye to those he had worked with for so many years (Telegraph).

However, it was revealed last week that Kane would be given that chance when on international duty with England (Daily Mail). With the England squad set to train at Hotspur Way, it was believed Kane was in line for full access to the facilities to reconnect with former colleagues.

Harry Kane finally says his Tottenham goodbyes

Now, the Daily Mail can confirm that Kane has been able to say those goodbyes, ahead of the game against Italy last night.

It is said that the England captain “reconnected with former players and staff” on Tuesday. The England squad actually arrived at the Enfield HQ last Thursday, but Kane had been keeping a “low profile” initially.

With the Three Lions squad leaving the facility yesterday, Kane took “time out” of the training sessions and used his opportunity to “reacquaint himself” with those he left behind in August.

Spurs Web Opinion

I think it’s great that Kane has been given this closure on his time at Tottenham. Hopefully, this settles any possibility of there being any bad blood between the player and the club now, and we can see Kane back at Spurs one day.
