Voetbal Krant have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are both battling for Club Brugge star Andreas Skov Olsen ahead of the January transfer window.
Olsen has been a revelation in the Belgian top flight following his switch from Bologna to Club Brugge last summer in the summer of 2022.
The winger has made an extremely impressive start to the new campaign, with seven goals and two assists in ten league matches so far in addition to three goals and an assist in six Europa Conference League matches (Transfermarkt).
Spurs and Arsenal set for battle for Skov Olsen
Voetbal Krant now claim that the pacy attacker is now in his ‘final months’ at Brugge as a transfer is imminent in January.
The report states that while there has been plenty of speculation about the 23-year-old in the past, the interest in his services is ‘concrete’ this time around.
It is explained that Spurs have been following Olsen’s progress for some time now but have not made a proposal yet to Brugge.
It is alleged that the interest of their North London rivals, Arsenal, is now ‘gaining momentum’, with discussions now ‘underway’ between the Gunners and the Belgian club about the Dane.
Spurs Web Opinion
The injuries to Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon mean that Tottenham will likely enter the market for a wide player in January.
We know that Olsen is a player that they looked at closely in the past, which is why a move from the Lilywhites for the Brugge star cannot be ruled out.
