According to TuttoSport (23/08/23 as relayed by Sport Witness), Inter Milan are eyeing a potential move for Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

It has been widely reported recently that Spurs are now prioritising getting players out of the door in order to free up space in the squad for new signings, with Ndombele said to be one of the names in the shop window (Michael Bridge – Sky Sports Football Daily).

It was reported by RMC Sport earlier this week that the Frenchman is attracting interest from the likes of Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Rennes and Nottingham Forest, with Spurs said to value the player at around €15m-€20m (£12.9m-£17m).

Inter now considering move for Tanguy Ndombele

TuttoSport have now claimed that Inter are considering moving for the Tottenham man as the Serie A side are keen to add reinforcements in central midfield.

It is alleged that the Italian side’s top target is Red Bull Salzburg’s Lucas Gourna-Douath but the youngster is expected to cost over €20m (£17m), which is an ‘obstacle’ for the Nerazzurri.

Thus, it is said that Inter are now considering turning their attention to Ndombele, who spent last season on loan at reigning champions Napoli.

Spurs Web Opinion

I expected Ndombele to attract quite a bit of interest from the Serie A this summer on the back of his spell at Napoli. While the 26-year-old did not set the world alight at Naples, he showed enough promise to suggest that he can be a solid acquisition for most sides in the division. However, I suspect that the Frenchman’s wages would likely put off most Serie A sides.
