Yves Bissouma’s personal trainer Ty Paul has wished the Brighton star luck ahead of his medical at Tottenham Hotspur (Instagram).
News first emerged on Tuesday that Tottenham had agreed on a fee of £25m with Brighton for the transfer of Bissouma (The Times).
According to Football.London’s Alasdair Gold, the fee could rise to £30m with add-ons, with the 25-year-old expected to have his medical at Hotspur Way this week before signing on the dotted line.
Fabrizio Romano took to Twitter this morning to reveal that Spurs are expected to make their ‘final contacts’ with Brighton today on payment terms for the deal before proceeding with the paperwork for the transfer.
Bissouma’s trainer has now confirmed that the midfielder is indeed set to have his medical at Tottenham. Ty Paul also added in his post that the Brighton star deserves to be playing Champions League football, and that he is actually worth around £50m-£60m.
Spurs Web Opinion
This appears to be clear confirmation that Bissouma’s move to Spurs is nailed on as long as he passes the medical. Some Tottenham fans might be wary of believing it until they see the midfielder holding a shirt up but it does not seem like this transfer is going to collapse.
