Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma.

The 25-year-old has signed a deal until 2026 with the north London outfit.

The Mali international only had one year left on his contract at the Amex Stadium with Sky Sports reporting earlier this week that the deal could be worth in excess of £30 million.

Tottenham had made an enquiry for Bissouma last year, only for the Seagulls to come back with a £40million valuation but have been forced to lower their demands due to his contract situation (The Telegraph).

Bissouma becomes Spurs’ third signing of the post-season, following in the footsteps of Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster, who have joined on free transfers from Inter Milan and Southampton, respectively.

Tottenham have secured a proven Premier League player who can significantly improve their midfield options for a relatively bargain price.

Bissouma’s arrival is likely to send Harry Winks one step closer to the exit of his boyhood club, with the academy graduate having been linked with Everton.
