New Tottenham signing Rodrigo Bentancur scored a beautiful first-time finish in training ahead of Tottenham’s Premier League trip to Manchester City this weekend.

Spurs travel to the league leaders on Saturday evening, looking to bounce back from a poor week that saw them lose two games at home to Southampton and Wolves.

Bentancur, 24, was brought on as a substitute against the Saints and earned a starting berth for the visit of Wolves, but couldn’t inspire his side to victory in either game.

However, his performances were some of the best out of a poor bunch, which could potentially secure him back-to-back starts for Tottenham’s upcoming clash against City.

Despite the disappointing results, the Uruguayan has since shown that his confidence is high, with a clip posted by Spurs of him burying a tidy goal during a finishing drill in training.

Spurs Web Opinion

Bentancur has settled in fairly well at Tottenham and his performances have been decent compared to some of his teammates. If he does start on Saturday, it will be tough for him to try and dictate the play with Man City being one of the most dominant teams in possession. Nevertheless, he will definitely work hard to try and help the team get a positive result.
