Ralph Hasenhuttl has admitted ahead of his side’s trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this evening that he does not have in-depth knowledge of Tottenham’s two new January additions.

Spurs confirmed their captures of Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus on transfer deadline day and the pair were handed their debuts in the FA Cup fourth-round clash against Brighton just a few days after arriving at the club.

Both players put in promising performances off the bench and helped Antonio Conte’s men see out the 3-1 win against the Seagulls.

It remains to be seen whether either player will be handed their first start for Tottenham in this evening’s clash against the Saints.

With Oliver Skipp out through injury, some reports have predicted that Bentancur could be named in the starting eleven by Conte (Evening Standard).

Hasenhuttl has admitted that, even before the two additions, Spurs boasted of a really strong squad.

The Southampton boss told said in his pre-match press conference about Kulesevski and Bentancur (via Saints’ official channel): “I’ve not the biggest knowledge of the new players.

“For me, they had enough before the signings. They are strong enough being a top team in the Premier League. And they have shown this.”

I expect Conte to stick with a 3-4-3 this evening rather than reverting to a 3-5-2. I expect Bentancur to be named on the bench and for Winks and Hojbjerg to keep their place in the starting eleven. I also think Moura will be given the nod to start ahead of Kulusevski once again.
