Tottenham Hotspur head coach, Antonio Conte has revealed that new signings Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur could start against Wolves this weekend.
The Italian admitted he had not yet chosen his starting XI but would do so tomorrow after another training session, but the two former Juventus men appear to be in contention, at the very least.
Neither Kulusevski nor Bentancur has made their full Tottenham debut as of yet, with both coming off the bench against Brighton in the FA Cup and Southampton in the Premier League.
The Sweden international has operated off the right-side, looking to cut in on his deadly left foot, while the Uruguay star has lined up in a two-man midfield in his two cameos.
With fixtures coming thick and fast over the next two weeks, Conte will likely need to rotate his team at some point and hinted at the ‘possibility’ of starting his new recruits.
He said (Football London): “For sure this could be a possibility. We have another day of training to make our decision. They are working with the team and I prefer to wait until tomorrow to make the decision on the starting XI.”
Spurs Web Opinion:
I expect Bentancur to start the match against Wolves but Kulusevski to be on the bench. The front three of Kane, Son and Moura has to remain, for me. They were the three bright sparks on an awful evening against Southampton last time out.
