Ben Davies has praised new Tottenham signings Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur and believes the pair will play a key role in the club’s run-in towards the end of the season.
Spurs signed both Kulusevski and Bentancur from Juventus on transfer deadline day last month in a bid to bolster the options at Antonio Conte’s disposal.
Uruguay international Bentancur made his full Premier League debut in Sunday’s defeat to Wolves, while Kulusevski has been limited to three appearances from the bench so far.
Spurs will be hoping the duo can provide a boost for the second half of the campaign, with the side currently experiencing a downturn in form having lost each of the last three league games.
But Davies predicts both players will play an important role for Spurs in the final stages of the season, with the chase for Champions League football continuing to ramp up.
Davies said (via Football.London): “They’re going to be very important for us for the run-in now for the amount of games we’ve got. They’re very talented players.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Bentancur has looked pretty good in his short time for Spurs so far, while we haven’t seen too much from Kulusevski as of yet. With a bit more time to bed in, we should start to see why they were brought in and hopefully they can help bring about a strong end to the campaign.
