Brazilian starlet Savio, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar, has admitted that he dreams of joining Manchester City in the years to come.
Savio, who first burst onto the scene at Atletico Mineiro, arrived at European shores back in 2022 when he signed for Troyes.
The youngster spent last season on loan at PSV Eindhoven before making another loan move to Girona this summer, and he has had an excellent start to his career in La Liga, with three goals and four assists to his name in ten matches so far (Transfermarkt).
Both the French and Spanish clubs are part of the City Football Group, which also owns Manchester City.
Savio, who can operate on either flank or through the middle as a number eight, is thought to be on Tottenham’s radar, with TEAMtalk claiming that the North London club have been impressed with the 19-year-old’s performances this season.
Savio has his eyes set on Man City despite Spurs links
However, the teenager has now admitted he is eyeing a move to Man City in the future.
Savio is quoted as telling Marca: “The City Group’s project is first class, and I think that if I do well, Manchester City will want me.”
Spurs Web Opinion
If the City Group consider Savio to be an exciting prospect, I doubt they would want to let him go to Tottenham, particularly now that the Lilywhites look like they could potentially be their direct rivals in the not-too-distant future under Postecoglou.
