Tottenham defenders Ben Davies and Joe Rodon have been named in the Wales squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Play-Off Final and UEFA Nations League (Welsh FA).
Alongside former Spurs star Gareth Bale, both defenders have been crucial cogs in Wales’ journey to the play-off final as they played the full 90 minutes against Austria in the semi (Sky Sports).
Davies has enjoyed a rejuvenating season being employed in Antonio Conte’s back three at Spurs, making 28 appearances in the Premier League, as well as providing a goal and an assist (TransferMarkt).
The 29-year-old, who has made 70 appearances for his national side (TransferMarkt), has thrived in the left centre-back role for both club and country and will be hoping to carry his impressive form into what is a monumental game for Rob Page’s men.
Rodon, although struggling for minutes at Spurs this season, has nailed down his spot in the heart of The Dragons’ defence and with Football Insider tipping the 24-year-old to depart N17 this summer, he may be looking to impress potential suitors.
