Joe Rodon has revealed Antonio Conte and his coaching staff have ensured that even those who do not get regular game time at Tottenham stay in good physical condition.
Rodon hardly got any opportunities at Spurs over the course of the season, either under Conte or his predecessor Nuno Espirito Santo.
The 24-year-old might have already played his final game for Tottenham, with reports indicating that he could depart the club this summer in search of regular game time (The Evening Standard).
The centre-back’s full focus at the moment will be on Wales’ World Cup qualifier against Ukraine on Sunday, with the winner of the game earning a place in the showpiece event in Qatar.
Rodon is an indispensable part of the Dragons’ backline, but some might fear that the defender might not be match fit heading into the all-important clash against the Ukrainians.
However, the former Swansea man insisted that he is in top condition thanks to the intensity of training under Conte.
He said (Football London): “The gaffer at Tottenham he works us all very hard. I can only thank the staff and him of course for what they have been like with me over the course of the season.
“They have kept us, even the ones who don’t play, in very good condition and I think it’s a credit to his team and of course the boys have put in the work as well.
“It benefits of course and the intensity we train at is very high and I can only be thankful for the condition he’s kept me in.”

Spurs Web Opinion
Rodon has been unfortunate to not get any opportunities to prove himself to Conte but he cannot have any complaints, given the form Eric Dier has been in.
The 24-year-old usually does not put a foot wrong for Wales and I expect him to put in another solid shift alongside Ben Davies for Robert Page’s men in the high-pressure game on Sunday.
