Heung-Min Son believes we have a great chance of ending Manchester City’s record-breaking winning run on Saturday – telling talkSPORT: ‘They’re still only human!’
We travel to the Etihad Stadium this weekend hoping to put a stop to City’s record breaking run of 15 straight wins in the Premier League.
The article adds how Pep Guardiola’s side have steamrollered their opposition in the first-half of the season and it’s seems the title race to be over already with City sitting 11 points clear of United at the summit.
However the article says that after a swift turnaround in recent weeks we have been tipped to be the side to break City’s winning streak, and Son insists we are more than capable of beating the runaway leaders when they clash this weekend.
The Korean was speaking to talkSPORT’s Ian Abrahams, to which he said: “In football, you never know. Of course Man City are strong, they’re very good and they score a lot of goals. But we’re a strong team as well, we score goals as well.
Sonny added “Football is 11 against 11, there’s one ball, every player has two legs – they’re only human, you know? It’ll be difficult, but I think they are under more pressure than us because they are 15 games unbeaten.
He continued: “We need to go there and believe in ourselves, just play our game and enjoy it and I think we’ve got a great chance to win.”
The article tells how Son scored for the fourth game running in Wednesday’s 2-0 victory over Brighton, his eight goal this season, and the article says his fine form is perhaps a good omen for Spurs, adding that we have not lost against City since Son’s arrival from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, and it says our No.7 is keen to keep that run going when they travel to the Etihad on Saturday.
“Yeah, this is a good thing! I want to keep it like this – I don’t want to lose against anyone and if we lose I’m always angry and unhappy” added Sonny
He continued:“I want to win against any opponent and I’m not scared of any team, I think we can go there and have a great chance to make something happen.”
