Christian Eriksen says he is ‘happy’ at the amid speculation that the he is set to be offered a new contract.
Eriksen’s current deal runs, signed in September 2016, runs until the summer of 2020 and according to the London Evening Standard the Dane along with Heung-min Son, are said to close to agreeing fresh terms with the club, and Eriksen latest comment certainly indicate a readiness to strike a deal.
The article adds how the dane was speaking to TV3 SPORT, Denmark’s official broadcaster of the Premier League, Eriksen said: “I am happy to be at the club and have nothing negative to say about it [Tottenham] at all.”
It adds how Eriksen, and Son, scored in our 4-0 victory over Everton on Saturday, while Harry Kane added two more to his personal tally to become the club’s all-time leading Premier League goalscorer.
Speaking after the match, Eriksen said: “Everyone is really very pleased with the win and how we played was very good so it’s on to the next game. Eriksen added: “Congratulations to Harry for breaking the (Premier League goals) record for Spurs. It’s always a big achievement and to do it in so few games as he’s done is fantastic and of course Sonny with how he plays, it’s a big thing to play in the team with them both.”
