Soldado has been very careful to say nothing but nice things about Spurs and their supporters since he departed, but that doesn't change the fact that he never committed to London and Spurs and that conciliatory behavior is coming after he got what he wanted (i.e. a trip out of town). He may have worked hard but in the end he did give up. I didn't fault him on character, only on the work ethic and results with Spurs.

Good article but not sure I agree about Soldado. He worked quite hard IMO and wanted to make his time at Spurs a success. It just didn't click for him. Some parts of his game were on point, could hold up the ball and make a pass… unfortunately, he just couldn't score even in a 1-on-1 situation with a keeper. Broken. I also believe he wanted it to work just based on his continued support of the team even after leaving. Disappointing player? Sure. But not one I would label as "sulking".

Great article and I totally agree on everything you say. Lamela and Son are proof that Poch is doing the right thing. Everyone was slating Lamela during his first season with us, and a lot were doing the same with Son. Now, like you said with a lot of extra hard work they are different players and now well worth the money we paid for them. Oh, and where are all the fans who were calling for Poch's head not so long ago?
