Why do you and thousands of others base your opinion on media rumours? About 20% of these rumours actually turn out to be true at all clubs, but for some reason the media gets a pass as they make up stories on a daily basis to satisfy a 24 hour news cycle. All you have to do is say “a source close to the club” or “the respected transfer expert” and suddenly it’s fact and if we don’t sign the player it has to be Levys fault. Same goes for how long it takes to sign a player. There are so many factors as to why one deal takes longer than another, but if we don’t get a player in within a few days of the rumour mill saying we’re in for them, then the only possible solution is Levy must be penny pinching again. All of this then generates negativity online (which tends to snowball much faster than positivity unfortunately) which gives our rivals the excuse they need to bring out all the tired stereotypes about our club….again. I grow weary of the damage done to the reputation of our club by people who only care about advertising revenue off the back of a clubs name and have never even been to a game. One day you woke up and chose a team that happened to be Tottenham, you are a fan, but not a supporter.
