Reported Tottenham target, Robin Koch is ready to leave his current club Freiburg this summer as he will not be renewing his contract with the Bundesliga side.
Kicker have reported that Koch wants a new challenge and is not short of suitors, putting the pressure on Freiburg to sell up or risk losing him for free.
It was reported back in March that Tottenham were interested in the defender, with a price tag of around £18.5m having been set by the Bundesliga club (Arena Napoli).
The 24-year-old played a huge role in Freiburg’s eighth-placed finish in the 2019/20 season with the defender making 32 appearances, 90% of them coming in the starting XI (Transfermarkt).
After three years with the Bundesliga side, it appears Koch’s time at Freiburg may be set to come to an end this summer.
Spurs Web Opinion
Koch has been a huge part of what has been a fairly successful season fro Freiburg in the past season. Is he good enough to join Spurs? Well, he is certainly gaining interest from some big clubs across Europe but I do think Mourinho will look elsewhere for his first-choice replacement for Jan Vertonghen.
