Football Insider have claimed that Micky van de Ven has now agreed personal terms with Tottenham Hotspur ahead of a potential move to the North London club.
At the start of this week, Fabrizio Romano reported that Spurs are ‘advancing’ in their talks with Wolfsburg regarding Van de Ven, with the journalist adding that an agreement is now ‘close’.
A couple of days ago, The Daily Mirror claimed that Ange Postecoglou is ‘confident’ that Tottenham will get a deal for the Dutchman over the line.
Spurs agree personal terms with Micky Van de Ven
If Football Insider’s latest update is to be believed, Van de Ven has now agreed a five-year contract with Tottenham, who are said to be hopeful that a deal can be finalised.
However, the report explains that the Lilywhites are yet to strike a full agreement with Wolfsburg regarding a transfer fee, with the two clubs said to be negotiating the structure of the deal.
It is asserted that Spurs are willing to pay £25m for the 22-year-old while the Bundesliga side are holding out for around £30m.
The publication adds that Tottenham also have alternative left centre-back targets on their list if they cannot get the deal over the line, with Edmond Tapsoba said to be one of those options.

If it is true that there is only a difference of around £5m in the valuations of the two clubs, I expect Tottenham to get the deal over the line quickly so that Van de Ven can link up the squad for pre-season in Australia or Asia.
