Harry Kane netted a first-half hat-trick against Montenegro to help England demolish the visitors 7-0 on Thursday evening.

The Spurs striker’s third goal which sealed his hat-trick was arguably the pick of the bunch. Kane exquisitely controlled a low cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold before stroking it into the far corner beyond the defender who hurled himself at the ball in an attempt to block it.

The England stars were re-watching the clips of their goals on Thursday with three of Kane’s teammates – James Maddison, Tammy Abraham, and Jadon Sancho – breaking into applause on seeing a slow-motion replay of Kane’s finish.

Maddison, who has been linked with a move to Spurs (Daily Mail), was especially impressed with the England No.9’s finish and had some high words of praise for him.

It is clear that Harry Kane commands the respect of most of his England teammates, with the young guns like Abraham and Sancho looking up to him. The England captain is certainly a great role model for the younger players to look to. Hopefully, the prospect of playing with Kane week in week out helps Spurs sign some of the amazing young talent breaking into the Three Lions set up at present.
