Leicester are an ambitious club with no doubt promises made to Brendan Rodgers. Maddison is still not as good as Eriksen was at the same age and I think I would like 2 playmakers come in to replace Eriksen. One of Eriksens greatest strengths has been his ability to stay fit, where his biggest weakness is the flip side of that in that he doesn’t tackle. Rodrigo De Paul at only 30m from Udinese looks like much more of a ferocious and industrious playmaker. I think he is a must at that price. Eriksen has been a 20 to 30 goal a season playmaker in his time at Spurs, Juan Mata, before Mourinho entered his career, or LVG played him as a right back was once a 50 goal a season playmaker (21 goals and 29 assists in his second Chelsea season), who won back to back European trophies in a bang average Chelsea side and is available on a free. Even as a squad player, he still has something offer and could light up our bench. AVB had an eye for a good player, bringing Mata, De Bruyne, Lukaku, Sturridge, Lloris, Vertonghen, Dembele and almost Moutinho and Willian to Spurs and Chelsea, and I have always rated Mata as an outstanding playmaker. Spurs have no shortage of goalscorer, its creativity we will lose if Eriksen goes, and I think Mata and Poch could be a match made in heaven.
Lamela is a brilliant game changer on his day but his injuries have been a real concern this season and although I would love him to stay, I expect the club coaching/ medical team will make a decision on him this summer based on what they know.
