Ben Davies has had a relatively quiet summer in comparison with his team mates and is with the rest of the squad on the pre-season tour of the USA, with our next fixture in the tournament coming against Barcelona on Sunday in the International Champions Cup.
It will be Barcelona’s first taste of pre-season action when they take on Tottenham, and there could be a debut for one time Tottenham target Malcom.
Davies has said he is keen for the club to get off to a flyer in the new season especially if we are to have a chance of picking up some silverware.
Speaking to skysports the Wales defender said “We have been there or thereabouts the last couple of years and have narrowly missed out on a couple of occasions,”:said Davies.
He added: “We have to be ready from the first to drop as few points as possible early doors to stand us in good stead for the season.”
