Turkish outlet Hurriyet have revealed that Davinson Sanchez has demanded a salary of €4m (£3.4m) per season to sign on the dotted line for Galatasaray.
Sanchez has been named on the Tottenham bench ahead of the likes of Eric Dier for the club’s opening two matches of the season.
The Colombian delivered a solid display after replacing Cristian Romero at the Gtech Community Stadium when the Argentine came off early in the game with a concussion.
However, with the centre-back having just one year left on his contract at Spurs, he continues to be widely tipped to leave, with the likes of Monaco, Galatasaray and Nottingham Forest credited with an interest in the 27-year-old (Daily Mail).
Sanchez makes his salary demands to leave Spurs
Hurriyet have now stated that the former Ajax man remains ‘on the agenda’ for Galatasaray, who are looking to reinforce their backline before the transfer window slams shut.
The report states that Sanchez has made it clear to the Turkish club that they would have to offer him a contract worth €4m (£3.4m) per season if he is to move to Istanbul.
The outlet does not specify whether Galatasaray are expected to meet the defender’s demands but they add that the Tottenham man also has several other suitors from across Europe.
Spurs Web Opinion
I would be surprised if Sanchez ends up in Turkey this summer as the centre-back is seemingly attracting quite a bit of interest across the continent. Spurs will be keen to resolve his future soon so that they can push ahead with bringing their top targets through the door.
