It seems Tottenham Hotspur are finally ready to cut their losses and sell Davinson Sanchez for cheap, as the latest information on the player’s situation reveals the Colombian could be sold for as little as £10m before the transfer window closes.

After the defensive troubles Spurs suffered last season, it’s no surprise that reinforcing the backline has been of the utmost importance for Ange Postecoglou this summer.

With the signing of Micky van de Ven, and time to add yet another centre-back still, it appears likely that Davinson Sanchez will find himself far down the pecking order in North London.

The 27-year-old has been continually linked with a move away from Spurs so far this summer. Most recently, French side Rennes have reportedly shown an interest in acquiring the centre-half (Foot Mercato).

However, it was thought that Sanchez may have earned himself a stay of execution after impressing his new manager in recent weeks (Alasdair Gold for Football.London).

Spurs will accept £10m for Davinson Sanchez

Now, the latest update on Sanchez’s situation comes from Football Insider, who claim Spurs are prepared to sell the player for £10m if an offer comes in within the next week.

With the transfer window set to close in just a few days, Tottenham are thought to be “keen to offload” Sanchez. Being in the last year of his contract, the club now wants to cash in on the defender, rather than “lose him on a free transfer next year.”

Spurs would now be open to accepting a “cut-price offer,” somewhere in the region of £10m.

We cannot expect to get any more than £10m for Sanchez, realistically, and we should be accepting offers like that instantly. If we can get Sanchez out quickly, there’s a good chance we will be able to complete a move for a replacement before the window shuts. Hopefully, it will be Edmond Tapsoba, but that may be a difficult switch to get over the line.
