Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that AS Monaco are now pushing to sign Davinson Sanchez.
Unfortunately, it looks like Sanchez’s missed penalty in the Carabao Cup second-round tie against Fulham on Tuesday could be the Colombian’s final kick in a Tottenham shirt, with the centre-back widely tipped to leave the club before Friday night’s transfer deadline.
Over the last 24 hours, several outlets have continued to suggest that Spurs are looking to use the 27-year-old as a potential makeweight in a deal to sign Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest (Times).
Monaco now make advances to sign Sanchez
Di Marzio has taken to social media to state that Monaco are now ‘pushing’ to land Sanchez before the transfer window shuts.
The journalist revealed that the former Ajax star’s agent is now in London to negotiate a move away for his client.

Monaco’s desire to land Sanchez could also impact Tottenham’s rumoured pursuit of Tosin Adarabioyo, with various reports over recent days indicating that the Ligue 1 side were favourites to beat Spurs to the Fulham star (Daily Mail).
Spurs Web Opinion
It seems like there is now finally some movement on the futures of Sanchez, Dier, Ndombele and Hojbjerg. However, as things stand, there are not too many indications that Reguilon and Lloris are close to sealing a move away from Spurs.
The club certainly have their work cut out in getting the aforementioned players out of the door and bringing a couple in before tomorrow night’s deadline.
