Alasdair Gold has revealed via Football.London that Ange Postecoglou and Daniel Levy are both big fans of Leicester City midfielder James Maddison.
It has been widely reported over the last couple of weeks that Maddison is considered a priority transfer target for Tottenham this summer (Telegraph).
Fabrizio Romano reported yesterday that Spurs and Leicester had agreed on a £40m fee for the midfielder, with personal terms between Tottenham and Maddison also completed.
The journalist has since given his ‘here we go’ seal of approval to the deal.

Gold has now explained that Maddison is not only wanted by Postecoglou but Levy is also a big admirer of the player.
The journalist states that the Spurs chairman wanted ‘to drive through’ a deal for the England international to aid his new head coach implement an attacking style of play.
Gold adds that Fabio Paratici also likes Maddison, with the Italian said to be aiding Tottenham’s summer plans to rebuild the squad on a consultancy basis despite resigning from his role as the managing director of football.
