Fabrizio Romano has revealed that James Maddison has completed the first part of his Tottenham medical and an announcement on the transfer is expected soon.
The James Maddison to Tottenham news was thrown into overdrive this week as the Lilywhites made significant steps towards landing one of their priority targets.
Fabrizio Romano reported yesterday that Spurs and Leicester City had come to an agreement on a £40m fee for the playmaker, with add-ons and further details still to be ironed out.
He also added that Tottenham had already managed to shake hands with Maddison himself on personal terms, with a medical to come.
This was music to the ears of any Spurs fan, many of whom believe the club have failed to sign a true Christian Eriksen replacement since the Dane left N17 for the San Siro.
Ben Jacobs then predicted that a full agreement between Tottenham and Leicester could be reached today (Wednesday), while Dharmesh Sheth reported that a Maddison medical would happen on the same day.
If Romano is correct, then Spurs fans may not have to wait too much longer to see Maddison holding up the Lilywhite jersey.

Spurs Web Opinion:
Getting James Maddison, who appears to be Tottenham’s top target, signed at the very beginning of the window is almost unheard of for Daniel Levy and co.
Hopefully, this can pave the way for a really bright and ambitious summer window, with a whole lot more work left to do.
