It was reported earlier this week that Tottenham Hotspur now accept that they need to look overseas for a Harry Kane back up after missing out on the likes of Callum Wilson and Ollie Watkins.
Two names who have been heavily linked with the club over recent days are Patson Daka and Arkadiusz Milik (Football.London), although it has since emerged that the Zambian is not ready to leave RB Salzburg (Evening Standard).
The Athletic’s Charlie Eccleshare has revealed that Tottenham still hold an interest in Metz striker Habib Diallo and could make a move for him.
Previous reports from France (La Semaine) have revealed that Spurs are following Diallo, with Foot Mercato even claiming last month that Metz had all but given up hope of holding on to the striker, who notched up 12 goals in 26 Ligue 1 appearances last season (transfermarkt.com).
Eccleshare has now taken to social media to reveal that the Senegalese international is keen on a move to North London and that Metz are ready to sell him for between €15-20 million.
Following on from piece below on challenges of bringing in Kane back-up, hearing that Metz's Habib Diallo is a #THFC target and is open to the move.

Spurs Web Opinion
Diallo sounds like the most realistic target for us, with Metz ready to sell and the striker seemingly ready to join. The deal for the likes of Milik and Daka look much more complicated based on recent reports but it remains to be seen who we go for.
Whoever Mourinho’s priority is, it would be of great help if Levy can get a deal completed early as we are going to need another striker in order to cope with the fixture schedule we have at the start of the season.
