Amid claims that Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Jadon Sancho, a new report suggests the North London side have already been offered the player by Manchester United but have not taken things any further yet.
Unfortunately, since his move to England, Sancho has done little to showcase the unbelievable talent he once exhibited at Borussia Dortmund.
Manchester United snapped up the tricky winger from the Bundesliga giants two years ago for a fee of £73m (BBC). However, things haven’t quite gone to plan for the England international during his time in the Premier League.
Sancho was in and out of the Manchester United line-up last season and has subsequently been touted as a player the Red Devils would let go this summer if the right offer came in.
Ben Jacobs previously told GiveMeSport that United would be willing to sell the player for around £60m. However, the Daily Star more recently revealed Sancho could be sold for as little as £45m.
Tottenham have been offered Sancho
Reports have already linked Tottenham with a move for the 23-year-old this summer (Daily Star). And now, the latest from The Independent claims Spurs have been offered Sancho, but have not been too responsive to the idea.
The report states Sancho is one of the players deemed to be available for a transfer during the summer window. Apparently, United have approached Spurs about potentially striking a deal.
However, Tottenham have given no “feedback” on the proposal and it remains to be seen whether they would actually be interested in signing the player.
Spurs Web Opinion
Jadon Sancho is obviously a very talented player and I’m confident he will come good eventually in England.
The fact we haven’t been more receptive to Manchester United’s proposal suggests we aren’t looking at Sancho, at least during this transfer window.
