According to 1000 Cuori Rossoblu, Tottenham Hotspur will face plenty of competition for the services of Bologna midfielder Mattias Svanberg this summer.
Tottenham were credited with an interest in Svanberg during the January transfer window (Inews) and the North Londoners have been backed to reignite their interest in the Sweden international this summer (Sport 28/03/22 – via TEAMtalk).
The print edition of Corriere dello Sport (07/04/22 – as relayed by Sport Witness) claimed last month that Spurs have made contact with Bologna for the midfielder, whose contract with the Serie A club runs until 2023.
1000 Cuori Rossoblu suggest that Bologna will look to cash in on Svanberg this summer after the player rejected the club’s latest contract offer.
The report claims that the Serie A outfit are expecting a fee in the regio of €20m (£17m) for the 23-year-old.
It is said that Spurs face competition from West Ham and Everton for Svanberg while Napoli and Fiorentina are also keeping tabs on the Swede’s situation.
Spurs Web Opinion
Paratici and Conte will certainly be aware of Svanberg’s attributes, given their expertise in Italian football. While the jury is out on whether the Swede would be a starter for Spurs, perhaps the 23-year-old would be an appealing option for Conte if he is looking for a squad player to replace Harry Winks.
